Obituary of Eric Russell Trundy

Brewer - Eric Russell Trundy, 63, of Brewer, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 27, 2024, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bangor. He was born on January 8, 1961, to Alvin and Virginia Trundy in Portland, Maine.

Eric attended Hampden Academy and Bangor Christian School graduating in 1979. He attended EMCC where he received his welding certificate. At Job Corp he studied to be a machinist. He worked for Hackett Machine in 1985, and in 1990 he started work with General Electric and worked there until he retired in February of 2021. Eric married Laurel E. Dorman on December 27, 1986, and together they had three children, Andrea, Austin, and Ryan. He enjoyed camping on his island in Rangeley and spending time with family and friends. Eric became a member of Pilgrim Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Bangor in 1994.

Eric is survived by his loving wife, Laurel; daughter, Andrea and her husband, Ben Walton, of Orrington, Maine; son, Austin and his wife, Shiloh, of Wade, Maine; son, Ryan of Hudson, Maine; brother, Alan Trundy and wife, Arleen, of Great Falls, Virginia; sisters, Marcia Kelly of Bangor and Vicki Carr of Millinocket; grandchildren, Maynard and Olivia Walton of Orrington; and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery, in Canaan, Maine. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at Pilgrim Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 375 Mount Hope Avenue, Bangor, ME, with the Rev. Russell J. Hamilton officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing in Eric's honor to Penobscot Christian School's building fund.
