Obituary of Corinne C. Caron
Corinne C. “Connie” Caron, 100, wife of the late Camille Caron, passed away peacefully at her home, November 16, 2024. She was born Aug. 9, 1924 in Manchester, NH, the daughter of Irving N. and Laura M. (Grenier) Kelley.
Connie was a 1942 graduate of John Bapst High School and attended the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. She and Camille owned and operated Garland Street Pharmacy and were communicants of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor. Being a mother of five, Connie was very active in St. John School PTA, was a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader and a neighborhood mother to many. Over the years, she was employed at the family pharmacy, Kings Dept Store and eventually retired in 1989 from the Pharmacy Dept at EMMC. Connie was a member of St. John Women’s Council, the Current Events Club, St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary and the Voices of Love Choir at St. John Church. Connie was a Eucharistic Minister for St. Paul the Apostle Parish and regularly brought communion and recited the rosary at area nursing homes until last year. She also volunteered at the Attic for over 30 years and in 2020 was given the “Volunteer of the Year” award for St. Paul the Apostle Parish. In her “spare” time, she could be found at Bangor-Brewer Lanes either on a team or by herself doing her best to score 100.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Sabina Caron, Michael and Jeanne Caron, daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Kim Weiland, Peggy and Robert Whitson, 11 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, her sister, Eleanore Lemke, her daughter, Diane McDonald and husband, Richard.
Family and friends may visit 5 - 7 PM Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Friday, Dec. 6, 2024 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John Catholic Church, 217 York St., Bangor. The service can be livestreamed from the parish website HERE.Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Ohio St., Bangor. All are invited to a reception afterward in the hall at St John’s Church.
