Obituary of Paula J Lowney

Paula J. Lowney, 72, wife of the late Richard J. Lowney, passed away peacefully; November 30, 2024 in Bangor. She was born July 24, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Harold P. and Barbara J. Wink.

Paula was a graduate of Ohio State University and later served in the US Army as a nurse for 20 years, with multiple duty stations, in the US and Germany. She also had a 2nd career working at Eastern Maine Medical Center for many years before her retirement.

She was a very creative and prolific quilter. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Shiloh; gardening, traveling with family and friends, cooking and meals with her neighbors and the “harem”. 

Surviving are one daughter, Stephanie Marsh and her husband, Lester of Imperial, Missouri; one granddaughter, Shelby Roberts and her husband, Gregory of Naples, FL; three great grandchildren, Parker, Auggie and Willa; one sister, Judy Huebner and her husband, Tom of Georgia; nephews, Eric and Kyle Huebner, Steven Lowney (Scott), Matt Lowney (Marisa) and a niece, Sue Reddish (Ryan); her longtime friend who was like a sister, Becky Young of Colorado; extensive network of friends and neighbors, whom she thought of as family.
