Obituary of Roger W. Brown

Roger W. Brown, 85, died unexpectedly on December 18 2024 after an automobile accident. He was born on December 5, 1939 in Bangor, Maine. The son of Eugene G. Brown, Sr. and Ethel (Smart) Brown.

                                                                                                                       
Roger was educated in Bangor and was a US Army veteran having served with the 101st Airborne Division. He also worked for the US Postal Service from which he retired. Loved by everyone who knew him, he was a loyal friend, generous soul and a compassionate, peaceful man.

Surviving are his two sons, Andrew N. Brown and Laurie Baughman of Eddington and Wayne L. Brown with his wife, Anyulia Brown of Bucksport; two granddaughters, Mckayla Brown and Lauren Anna Brown; one great grandson, Brennen Lavoie; one sister, Joyce G Nichols of Westford, MA. and two brothers, Franklin Brown with his wife, Debbie of Northeast Harbor and Edwin Brown with his wife, Sandra of Naples FL; nieces, Jan Kimball Mott, Pamela B. Hall, Ronda B. McGonigel, Laurie A Elian, Joanna Tourangeau and Dale A Quimby; nephews, Marc E Brown, Rob Nichols, Craig W. Hurd and Jay F Brown. He was pre deceased by two siblings, Shirley Hurd and Eugene Brown Jr.

A celebration of life will take place 11 AM Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Crosspoint Church, 1476 Broadway, Bangor Maine. Family and friends may visit from 10 AM until the service begins at 11:00 am.
